Can’t believe it! Yesterday, I blogged about a teacher at a Scottish Borders school who has published a lovely book. I am not going to tell you the title or the author. It is up to the children of Eyemouth PS, Reston PS, Ayton PS, Coldingham PS and Cockburnspath PS to guess who it is and the title of the book. Now there’s a puzzle!

Today I met two fantastic wee girls, sisters, who attend St. Columba’s School in Kilmacolm. They are clearly wonderful readers. Stella is in J5. Her favourite book is Awful Auntie by David Walliams, her favourite author is J.K Rowling and her favourite character is Hermione Grainger. She is now reading the Goth Girl series, beautifully illustrated books, by Chris Riddell, with a free teeny tiny book in the back pocket. Wonderful!!!

Honor is aged 4. Her favourite book is Fairy Dreams by Gwyneth Rees and her favourite character is Moonbeam. She is also reading Cinderella’s Sister and The Big Bad Wolf, Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam and The Puffin Stories for 5 year olds and 6 year olds. Are you reading these books altogether, Honor? I am impressed!!
