Today is the day before the Eyemouth Primary School Storytelling Festival and we are all full of excitement. I was in school this morning to tweak the timetable with Mrs. Siday and to finalise the arrangements. The school now has all the posters and stickers for the children, Kimberley Powell of the Berwickshire News will be the photographer for the event – and the shock of the morning was – we will have 500 children from both sides of the Scottish Border plus teachers. Astonishing!!! This is by far the biggest number we have had.

I also told 3 stories to the afternoon nursery class, 14 lovely wee ones, who were really good and tried their best to sit and listen. They would have missed out on the Storytelling Festival, otherwise!!

Tomorrow it will be all over so I will let you know how successful we are – because it will be a great success, I am sure of it!!!
