Well, it looks like the Condy family in Paisley is the first to put the Summer Book Challenge into action. They are reading Billionaire Boy by David Walliams and enjoying every minute of it. Let me know how you get on with your other books!

I’m going to start with kids’ books and I will be starting with the following, all written by Patrons of Reading:
Winter Tales by Lari Don
Fleshmarket by Nicola Morgan
The 13th Horseman by Barry Hutchison

Then I will go on to anything by Tom Palmer and Alan McDonald and Joseph Siegal, who is a performance poet. Who said we can’t read poetry?

For myself I am going to have a crack at reading Dorothy Dunnet’s Renaissance series. I love her six Lymond chronicles but the time is right to read her Renaissance series. For every book she wrote, she read 100, and her research cannot be faulted. She was the ultimate historical novelist and I consider her to be my favourite author and Francis Lymond from the Lymond chronicles to be my all-time favourite character. Read on!!
