I mentioned The Gracekeepers by Kirsty Logan on Wednesday. By chance it has been reviewed by Nick Major in today’s Herald Scottish Review of Books. I’m on page 80 but this review has not spoilt the ending for me.

So what is the general opinion? Nick Major concedes it can’t be a fairy tale but it is fairly innocent and “childlike” with, again, a few references to adult themes. But it is a children’s book although I would be more inclined to target young adults. However, having come late to this “type” of book, I”m not sure of the genre. If it isn’t a fairy tale, and not really sci-fi and not really fantasy, it could be a combination of all three, don’t you think?
