I’m about to start The 13th Horseman by Barry Hutchison, Patron of Reading at Paisley Grammar School. It looks a bit of a laugh. This will give you an idea of what is inside;
You are no longer Drake Finn,
you are the Fourth Horseman.
You are the rider on the pale horse.
You are Death.

“Right,” chirped Drake, after a pause.
“Well, that’s a turn up for the books.”

Brilliant,eh???

But for those kids who don’t really get Reading, what about the Vulgar the Viking series, written by Odin Redbeard. No kidding!!! A quick read with great illustrations and loads of laughs. Check out the nosycrow website; lots of great age – related books with a brilliant section on the authors, with photos, which I really like!!!
