First blog – second attempt

23rd April 2015 By Marjorie Leithead Leave a Comment

I wrote a great blog yesterday then lost it. Here we go again!!!

Let’s get folk reading for fun and pleasure and the children at Eyemouth P S ought to know that there are a lot of great readers in Eyemouth.

Lauren in Double Click loves Sweetie by Jenny Tomlin; Cameron and Fiona in Waddell’s are reading Gifted (the beautiful book about the paper sculptures donated to the museums and art galleries and such like in Edinburgh) – as well as The Black House by Peter May; Tom Nisbet will read anything by Wilbur Smith and Christine Collin likes Miss Read. Christine, you might also like Miss Pettigrew lives for a Day by Winifred Watson. There’s also a film tie-in and it is joyful.

As for the school children, I have just finished Dogger by Shirley Hughes – again. And have recommended both The Wolf Princess by Catherine Constable and any football book by Tom Palmer, another Patron of Reading.

Let me know what you are reading. Remember this is reading for fun and pleasure!!!
